WHAT ARE LIP FILLERS?

Lip enhancement procedures are performed by a highly experienced Aesthetic Nurse Injector.

HOW DO LIP FILLERS WORK?
You will be invited for a consultation with our Nurse Injector.
Once she has assessed your lips and you have discussed the results you want to achieve, take your full medical history, go through the treatment in detail and then proceed to prepare you for your procedure.
This is your opportunity to ask any questions about the treatment and find out a little more about aftercare.
The area will be cleaned and numbing cream will then be applied to the lips and left to take effect. Once the area is numb, Sarah (our nurse injector) will gently inject the filler into targeted areas of the lips.
The results are instantly visible, sometimes the lips can swell slightly and you may experience some slight bruising however this will go down within 48 hours. The results will progress and improve over the following two weeks.
ARE LIP FILLERS SAFE?
Yes – lip fillers go through rigorous testing to ensure they are completely safe and will not harm the body.
They are made up of hyaluronic acid, a substance naturally produced by the body, and are not permanent as the body naturally dissolves them.
ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS FROM LIP ENHANCEMENT?
After treatment, the skin may be inflamed and tender around the injection site. This normally resolves within 24-48 hours.
There may be temporary lumpiness at the injection site. An allergic reaction is very rare.
