Results

Immediate results, fuller volume to treated areas, more youthful look

Treatment lasts for 9-12 months depending upon your metabolism. Key areas of the face can be targeted with the dermal fillers, like your eyes, cheeks and around the lips which can often show signs of aging. Because the results are instant, and there is very little downtime, you can get back to your everyday routine quickly.

Dermal fillers integrate with the surrounding tissue, allowing free passage of oxygen and hormones. This results in natural, healthy-looking facial skin. Over time the fillers are broken down by natural biological processes, and removed from the body.

During the treatment, the doctor will firstly to examine your face and observe your facial muscles, so you and the doctor can achieve the best result. The filler is injected with a very fine needle just under the skin. To eliminate discomfort, a dental block with local anaesthetic will be given to numb the treatment area. The treatment itself takes approximately 30 minutes and results are visible straight away.

What is used in the dermal filler?

It comes in two formulations, SOFT-LINE™ and SOFT-LINE™ Max depending on your requirements. JUVEDERM™Ultra is another formulation we use. It is a colourless, hyaluronic acid gel that can be injected beneath facial areas to improve wrinkles and folds. JUVEDERM™ is ideal for smoothing lines around the nose and mouth. JUVEDERM™ injectable gel is the first smooth-consistency HA gel on the market.

Are dermal fillers safe?

As the HA in dermal fillers is not derived from animal products there is no risk of transmission of diseases from one species to another. There is also no risk of causing allergic reactions in individuals who are allergic to certain common foods.

How long do the effects last?

Most dermal fillers last between 6 and 12 months. This can depend on lifestyle, skin type or age.

Are there any side effects?

After treatment, skin may be inflamed and tender around the injection site. This normally resolves within 24-48 hours. There may be temporary lumpiness at the injection site. Allergic reaction is very rare.

Can dermal fillers be used with botox anti-wrinkle treatments?

Yes, some of the best results are achieved when two treatments are combined.

Prices start from £249 per 1ml depending on brand/range of the filler. Exact price quoted by a doctor at consultation.
