How can the skin peel when no chemical substances are used?
The specific compound of GREEN PEEL® is massaged into your skin at our clinic. The herbs' own micro particles lightly polish the upper layers of skin (epidermis removal), and other active ingredients in the herbal preparation will penetrate the skin where they will be absorbed by the cutis within 48 hours. They'll release valuable, natural active substances such as vitamins, plant hormones, enzymes and other beneficial ingredients into the skin.
How does the skin appear after the treatment?
Directly after the treatment the skin is red and a burning sensation similar to mild sunburn will be experienced.
Three to four days later the old skin comes off. Until then you can work normally and should not need to take time off. On the 4th or 5th day a follow up treatment takes place. The practitioner will, if necessary massage away any old skin and use a rich active preparation on the new skin which is now very absorbent.
There is no redness in the new skin; the complexion is considerably improved, fresh, clear and younger.
The follow-up treatment with active ingredients, known as the SUPER BEAUTY TREATMENT, is highly recommended. It uses intensive active ingredients to tighten the skin, especially for those skins that need special care. It is unique to the Herbal Deep Peeling Treatment.
Glycolic Acid Peel
Is the treatment safe?Yes. All our treatments are carried out by fully qualified practitioners who have an excellent understanding and background knowledge of Glycolic Acid Peel treatments and products. Before you begin your treatment, you will have a full consultation and thorough skin analysis.
Does the treatment hurt?
You may experience a mild stinging sensation which normally disappears within one minute.
How many treatments will I need?
During your consultation we will assess your skin type and plan a tailor made programme that will offer optimum results to suit your needs. On average we recommend a course of 6 treatments and these need to be approximately two weeks apart. It is generally expected that some result may be seen between 3-6 treatments, and a more significant result is hoped to be achieved between 6-18 treatments, however this may vary depending on the skin condition.
How long does each treatment take?
The treatment takes on average about half an hour, or an hour if you choose to go ahead with the Microdermabrasion as well.
Before and after care
2-3 weeks before the first treatment, you should begin a home care programme. Skin then will be prepared and a deeper peel can be achieved.
The concentration of the solution and the length of time that it's left on the skin are other two factors which control the depth of the peel; your practitioner will decide according to your skin condition.
If you have treatment for acne such as Accutane, it should be discontinued for approximately six months to one year before the peels can be administered.
After the peel your face may become pink, or have some dehydration or flaking of the skin. This is normal. Under no circumstance should you pick off any dead skin.
You should not sunbathe or use a sunbed in the week after your peel.
